Hi, y'all,
I am excited to be entering my third year as the 7–12 Principal at Sheridan Schools. It has been such a joy to become part of this amazing community, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside our students, staff, families, and community members every day.
Before moving to Montana, I spent 19 years in education in Texas. During that time, I taught at all elementary grade levels and most recently worked as a Special Education teacher. For much of my career, I was a bilingual teacher, and I am fluent in Spanish. Education has always been my passion, and I love helping students discover their strengths and reach their potential.
My husband, Ryan, and I stay busy with our kiddos, four dogs, and a lot of chickens. I am slowly getting used to the cold and snow that falls in June.
I am a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where I earned a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I also have earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. As principal, my goal is to help create a school where every student feels supported, challenged, and valued. I believe that some of the best parts of education happen through relationships, and I am committed to building connections with our students and families.
Thank you for sharing your children with us. Parent involvement and support make a tremendous difference, and I look forward to continuing to work together to make Sheridan 7–12 a place where students can learn, grow, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
REMINDERS:
Driving: Students in grades 9-11 will not operate, or be a passenger in or on, a motor vehicle during the school day (first bell to last bell), including the noon hour. Parental permission is required and a request must be submitted in writing in order to leave the campus by vehicle to go home for lunch, for medical reasons or for family business. Consequences for choosing to disregard School Board implemented policies are posted around the school and will be enforced. Thank you for your support in advance to keep our Panthers safe.
Cell Phones: This year, per the handbook (pg. 10), students should keep their cell phones OFF and out of sight during the instructional day. The exception to this is before school hours, lunch, and after school hours. Phones should not be brought into the bathroom, locker room, or other areas where there is potential to violate the privacy of another person. Consequences lined out in the handbook are being enforced and we thank you in advance for your support on utilizing the school hours for the education of your students.
Welcome Back to School!
